The maps reproduced in this issue, which show Paris before and during the French Revolution, are taken from the Plan de la Ville de Paris en 1789 and the Plan de la Ville de Paris, Période Révolutionnaire, 1790-1794. The maps were prepared, in 1887, at the direction of the Municipal Council of Paris, and are valuable as historical and comparative documents. They are reproduced in detail for greater legibility and convenience of reference.
